We are the go-to partner for IBM for implementing and reselling Maximo, and have developed a unique product offering for Maximo, with a successful SaaS business and 3rd party solutions Click FSE and Fingertip to enhance the product. Peacock have had a significant period of growth and are recruiting for experienced solution sellers with industry specific experience to continue to support successful revenue growth and client success.
Peacock Engineering is recruiting for a Sales Executives with enterprise sales experience in Facilities Management, Transport, Utilities and Pharmaceutical verticals to establish and progress existing pipeline and to win new business. The role involves a mixture of Account Management for existing strategic accounts and new business development. Peacock has an excellent understanding of the market in terms of Maximo® customers and competition and can provide specific targets – Peacock seeks to dominate the competition with a leading market share of the existing Maximo® customer base and have an excellent product-set to pitch. The role will also require business development outside of our known customer base, through networking, calling, events, social media marketing and other business-to-business activities. Peacock often partners with other SI’s and technology companies, and the role may involve co-ordinating joint bids for large projects.
The successful candidate will be an experienced solution seller with prior knowledge of enterprise selling to customers in FM, Utilities, Transportation and Pharmaceutical sectors. An understanding of the operational and financial issues faced by the sector is essential. They will be able to demonstrate:
- Industry knowledge and networks – successful prior enterprise IT sales experience in the industry to blue chip companies in relevant industries
- Sales strategy ownership – formulating and executing personal sales plans
- Account Management planning and execution; managing customer relationships with multiple stakeholders and delivering revenue from existing accounts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of planning and executing sales campaigns, including collaboration with marketing
- Forecasting and reporting sales activity to the management team
- Understanding of software, SaaS and Professional Services pricing and selling
Personal Attributes and Skills
Peacock is looking for an entrepreneur who will own and deliver the pipeline from the FM vertical – a significant contributor to Peacock’s revenue stream. Peacock has a well-earned reputation for quality of delivery, and a belief that our customer’s outcomes from projects are the basis of our business. This starts with the quality of the sale; truly reflecting the customer’s needs and demonstrating the value of our solution, with constant attention to detail vital. The successful candidate will be aligned to this view, with the ability to listen to the customers’ requirements, work with the Professional Services and Support teams, software vendors and other partners to create a compelling commercial proposal and solution for our customers.
The market is highly competitive, and the successful candidate must be energetic and organised. The role requires balancing existing customer requests with new business delivery, and the candidate must be able to prioritise and manage their own time in busy periods, while recognising the need to report the right information back to the business through Salesforce. Other key systems include Office365 and SharePoint.
Maximo® is a large product with many aspects and capabilities, from IT to functional – the successful candidate must be able to absorb new concepts and think creatively when responding to customers. This may mean working with our software developers to create new solutions to meet requirements, and prior experience of doing this will be advantageous.
The final role and associated package will depend on the capability of the successful candidate. An indicative package is as follows:
Little Chalfont (Head Office), Leeds, or Bristol offices.
Gross Annual Salary:
Competitive Basic, £120k OTE Uncapped
24 days initially rising by 1 day/annum to a max of 28

New Vacancy 05/22 - Dev Ops Developer
Working in the Technical services team for a leading UK IBM Maximo® Business partner, you will be implementing and supporting CI/CD technologies and practices across the consulting team for a variety of Maximo® implementation projects.
You will come from a development background, building, managing and deploying artefacts across the full solution stack and have experience in supporting and training development teams in good CI/CD practices.
Maximo® has a long heritage as an extendible J2EE solution, running on IBM WebSphere and RDBMS (MS SQL/Oracle/DB2). Knowledge of these elements across the full solution stack will be beneficial.
The modern Maximo® architecture, now referred to as ‘Maximo® Application Suite’ (MAS) is now served from an OpenShift architecture, making exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift a significant advantage.
Peacock Engineering use a suite of home-grown tools to aid deployment management and efficiency. The successful applicant’s development background, knowledge of Typescript and the Azure Devops framework will allow them to play a lead role in maintaining the codebase of these tools, their integration in the CI/CD processes and the next generation of tools which are now needed to interact with the MAS8 architecture.
